Reading a lab report
What does HPLC purity mean?
How much of the material in the vial is the target peptide, measured by high-performance liquid chromatography. It says nothing about safety or effects.
Purity vs net content
Purity is the share of the material that is the peptide. Net content is how many milligrams are in the vial. A vial can be labeled 10 mg and measure a little more.
What identity testing shows
Mass spectrometry (LC-MS) confirms the molecule in the vial is the one on the label.
Endotoxin and heavy metals
Screens for bacterial endotoxin and for metal contamination. Results are shown as measured or as pass/fail against the lab's limit.
What a report does not tell you
A report covers the sample and tests listed. It does not mean a product is suitable for human or veterinary use.
